The plaintiffs, Mr. Godwin Omorodion and seven others who brought the action on behalf of all kerosene victims are seeking from court a declaration that the defendants are their trustees in collecting or receiving money, goods and services from individuals, organisations, governments and other sympathisers as donations towards their treatment, care and welfare.

In the suit filed Mr Paul Ohonbamu of the Civil Liberties Organisation (CLO), the plaintiffs are also seeking a declaration that they are entitled to a full disclosure of and the defendants owe them a legal duty to render an account of all monies collected or received on their behalf.
In addition, they want the defendants to be compelled to pay them all such monies within 14 days of the determination of the suit.
